One stop shop, property services company Ross + Liddell has appointed Andrew Cunningham as Head of Commercial Management based at its Glasgow office.
The key appointment marks a return to Ross + Liddell for Mr Cunningham, who originally joined the firm as a graduate surveyor in the mid 90s, and marks the successful culmination of a head-hunting exercise prompted by the forthcoming retirement of Ross + Liddell Consultant Graham Ross in March 2007.
Graham Ross said, ‘Andrew has gone on to enjoy a successful career since qualifying as a chartered surveyor at Ross + Liddell. Having joined City Site Estates, where he worked on commercial management, asset management and investments and acquisitions, he went on to head up the property department at Optical Express and the Scottish office of Charles Price & Co, before forming his own successful company, Cunningham & Co.
‘I’m delighted to welcome Andrew back to Ross + Liddell where, in addition to heading up our commercial management operation, he will advise our clients on property acquisitions and investments.’
Andrew Cunningham said, ‘It’s not everyone who gets the chance to return to their first employer and I’m pleased to take up this opportunity to do so. I’m looking forward to returning to the firm that started my career, by training me in the first place, but now with a range of contacts and experience that I’m sure will help grow the commercial management department.’
Ross + Liddell currently employs a staff of 80 from offices in Glasgow, Paisley and Edinburgh. Company turnover is approaching £3 million. Recent years have seen the firm expand the range of residential and commercial property services it provides, including property management, estate agency, surveys, valuations, rent reviews, letting, insurance and building surveying.
Andrew Cunningham’s appointment is effective as of 1st June 2006, from which date Cunningham & Co’s ongoing business and clients will transfer to Ross + Liddell.
