Corporate Restructure
Sees Irene Devenny
Appointed MD of Ross &
Liddell
Property management
company Ross + Liddell
has announced a
corporate restructure
which sees Irene Devenny
become managing director
and former managing
director John Harris
assume the role of
chairman.
Having occupied the role
of managing director for
the past decade, Mr
Harris now intends, as
chairman, to take a step
back from overseeing the
day-to-day running of
the company in order to
focus his efforts on its
future strategy. Earlier
this year Mr Harris
relinquished his
position as financial
director with the
appointment of company
secretary Alexander
Cassidy to that role.
Whilst retaining her
role as director of
property management, the
corporate restructure
makes Irene Devenny one
of the few women to be
in the driving seat of a
Scottish property
company.
Of her appointment as
managing director, Mrs
Devenny said, 'Having
worked at Ross + Liddell
for 30 years, I'm
delighted to be
spearheading the next
stage of the company's
progression into a
one-stop-shop for
property services. We
now intend to expand
both the range of
services we provide and
the markets we serve
throughout Scotland.'
Having recently
concluded its 150th
anniversary
celebrations, Ross +
Liddell currently
employs a staff of 80
from offices in Glasgow,
Paisley and Edinburgh.
Company turnover is
approaching £3 million.
Recent years have seen
the firm expand the
range of residential and
commercial property
services it provides,
including property
management, estate
agency, surveys,
valuations, rent
reviews, letting,
insurance and building
surveying.
In addition to the
corporate restructuring
at board level, Ross +
Liddell has made a
series of recent key
appointments, aimed at
bolstering its property
management, furnished
lettings and its
building surveying
operations.
